Helen is delighted to announce that Mark Hunter was returned as our MP in Cheadle after yesterday's General Election. Despite a very negative campaign from the Tories in Cheadle, Mark was comfortably returned with a very similar majority to the last result.
In the Local Election result in Bramhall North there was an amazing result, with a tie between Pauline Banham and the Conservative candidate, both securing over 3,600 votes. After a number of recounts the Returning Officer advised that lots would have to be drawn to see who had won! Unfortunately, the Conservative paper was drawn out which means that Pauline will not be a Councillor this time. However, after such hard work over recent months, Pauline has vowed to carry on her work for the Liberal Democrats in Bramhall.
