Helen Foster-Grime joined Andrew Stunell MP for Hazel Grove constituency and guest speaker Tim Farron MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale at their annual fundraising summer supper on Saturday night.

Tim spoke at the Old School House, Mellor Parish Hall, before heading back to the Lakes to join the BBC Politics show on Sunday morning to continue his campaign for more affordable homes in Cumbria and the Lake District.

Helen, the North West European Parliamentary candidate, said, "It's good to see our hardworking Lib Dem MPs like Tim supporting events across our region. I share Tim's concerns about the lack of affordable housing in the North West, where constituencies in areas like the Lake District have been particularly hard hit, and young families and local people are being priced out of the housing market."

The Liberal Democrats are calling on the Government to make the issue of affordable homes a priority in the North West.
