The Lib Dems North West European Parliamentary Candidate, Helen Foster-Grime, joined Jane Brophy, the Parliamentary candidate for Altrincham and Sale West, in the teeming rain this Sunday as part of Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg's 'One Million Door Challenge'.

Helen said, "It's a great tribute to Liberal Democrat activists like Jane and her team, that they are prepared to work hard all year round for their local communities, even in the cold and driving November rain, to ask local residents about their views on local services. Knocking on over a million doors is the best way to find out what local people really want and how they feel about issues that are important to them. We received a terrific warm welcome from the people we met in Timperley and Broadheath, Altrincham.

People told us they really appreciate the dedication that Liberal Democrats like Jane Brophy show by working hard all year round and not just at election time, like the other political parties. It's democracy in action."
