The hugely popular Vince Cable MP visited Cheadle constituency at the weekend, just hours before his successful appearance in the 'Chancellors Debate' on Channel 4.

Vince was here for the Cheadle Constituency Annual Dinner, and spoke to a packed room of local supporters at Cheadle's Village Hotel, including Mark Hunter MP, Cllr Helen Foster-Grime and Pauline Banham. His views on the current economic perils facing the country were thoughtful and well received.

Just hours later Vince was on national television in the live debate. The Channel 4 poll immediately following the show found a majority of viewers thought that Vince had 'won' the debate. This view was echoed by most political commentators.
